Deliberate Leadership in a Distracted World
Although I have been fortunate to discover many leadership truths over the last 30 years, one truth continues to have the most far reaching benefit in my life. To be sure, there are numerous leadership lessons that have served me well, but all of them combined don’t equal the cumulative power of believing that there is no off switch on leadership. The truth is that every one of us can demonstrate leadership in every role we play, not just at work but everywhere, every day.

While most leaders would be quick to acknowledge the opportunity this truth presents, most would also agree that it’s a challenge to seize the opportunity at every juncture. Despite the fact that real leadership is so desperately needed in all corners of our society today, the multitude of distractions we face often prevent us from not only seeing the opportunity but seizing it too.

The Employee Experience, Discovering Your Role
in Creating a Fantastic Workplace
Today’s do-more-with-less workplace climate has produced an unprecedented need for employee engagement and accountability. It has also produced an unparalleled opportunity for all employees to play an active role in building a culture of excellence that helps attract and retain top talent. A key factor in being able to seize this opportunity is the capacity to demonstrate personal accountability and leadership regardless of job title, role or function. Not surprisingly, this capacity is most often driven by clarity and purpose both of which result from a heightened awareness of expectations and corresponding workplace behavioral choices that impact culture.
With the war for talent raging across every sector, every employee has a stake in not just their employer’s ability to attract and retain high performing talent but also in the realization of organizational objectives that drive sustainability. Included in this high impact, high content presentation is a review of the three most common barriers to a fantastic workplace as well as the behavioral choices that either foster or inhibit workplace success. Additionally, the program provides a meaningful framework leveraging best practice strategies for helping all employees to understand and embrace their role in the employee experience. Participants can expect to leave the presentation with new tools that can be applied immediately to help build a fantastic workplace for all stakeholders.
