USVI Department of Tourism Mourns Passing of Judi Nagelberg
The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism joins the Office of the Governor, members of the tourism and hospitality community, and countless Virgin Islanders in mourning the loss of Seema “Judi” Nagelberg. Committed, enterprising and engaged, Judi came to St. Thomas in the 1960s on vacation, fell in love with the Virgin Islands, and spent the next 50-plus years dedicating herself and her work to promoting and helping to market and advance her adopted home. VISIT USVI App Launches
We're excited to announce the VISIT USVI app launched last weekend! All member hotels have been included with a photo, and those who advertised in the magazine received a full mention. We have also offered a “Deals and Specials” tab to offer push notifications once sales begin. Additionally, we have QR Code stickers and tent cards to be distributed to advertisers and hotel front desks. We hope you will download the app and share this great HTA member benefit! Royal Caribbean Tells USVI Businesses It’s Ready to Sail
Royal Caribbean is asking V.I. businesses to be prepared for the cruise line’s return to the territory. At Wednesday’s Community Business Forum – sponsored by the Office of Governor Albert Bryan Jr. – The Royal Caribbean Group said with its new protocols that include requiring passengers and crew to be vaccinated before sailing, it is ready to return the U.S. Virgin Islands immediately after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lifts its conditional “No Sail” order. Read more.
