West Virginia's bioscience industry is growing rapidly. State bioscience firms grew their employment base by 14 percent from 2014 through 2016, well outpacing national growth to reach nearly 8,000 total industry jobs.
This is great news for the state and an important economic sector for po9licy and opinion leaders to be aware of.
The Bioscience Association of West Virginia (BioWV), in conjunction with WVU Innovations, will host the WV Bioscience Innovation & Economic Impact Forum from 10:30am-12:30pm on Friday, Oct. 12 in Morgantown to inform northcentral West Virginia policy and opinion leaders of the world class life science research occurring in our backyard and highlight the innovative biotech companies providing jobs and economic impact in the region.
