Behind the Curtain at IMPACT

We are very happy to announce the promotions of Paramjeet (Lena) Randhawa, Dominic (Nick) Luciano, and Rachel Cohen.
Lena Randhawa
was promoted to the position of Principal Clinical Research Scientist, in addition to her new role as Head of the Medical Writing Fellowship Program! Lena joined IMPACT in 2012 and has been a critical part of our success. She has written and managed US and European submissions, and served as the project manager for one of our largest clients. As co-founder of the Making an IMPACT initiative, Lena continues to be a leader in charitable events. Lena is also an active part of the Corporate Communications team.
 Nick Luciano was promoted to Clinical Research Scientist II. Since joining us in January 2017, Nick has been the epitome of a team player, and he is always willing to pitch in and help out to get the job done. Nick is gifted at juggling multiple projects and is a master of scientific messaging. He is also an effective communicator, with his thoughtful dialogue and wit. Nick has taken on the task of planning our much-anticipated Holiday party for the second year in a row, and he serves on the Making an IMPACT team.

Rachel Cohen
was promoted to Clinical Research Scientist II. Since joining us in February 2017, Rachel has proven to be an incredibly hard and conscientious worker who consistently produces high quality documents and creates positive interactions across her project teams. She represented IMPACT in the CFF's Triangle's Finest event. In addition, Rachel has also taken on leadership on the IMPACT on Health committee. Her healthy approach to life and positive outlook serve as inspirations to us all.

Heather Peterson
joined IMPACT after working in CMC Regulatory Affairs at GSK supporting preapproval and postapproval projects. Outside of work, she enjoys board games, hikes, coaching her kid's soccer teams, fostering dogs, other shared family time, and time away - especially in the gorgeous NC mountains!
Kimberly Overton has been in regulatory operations
since 1991, and she has seen a lot of changes as the industry has moved from paper submissions to the eCTD structure. Outside of work, she enjoys musical theatre, movies, music, and reading. She also loves living an equal distance between the beach and the mountains.

New Medical Writing Fellowship
|
IMPACT is pleased to announce its first Medical Writing Fellowship Program, spearheaded by Lena Randhawa! This program will last about 6 to 9 months and will host up to 3 fellows per class. As full-time fellows, our folks will write on a discrete project, perform quality control for a variety of projects, and participate in available training opportunities throughout the company. Our 2018 class comprises 3 wonderful fellows: Brandi Schuster, Laurel Kartchner, and Amritha Kidiyoor.

Brandi Schuster
joins IMPACT after working at Adivo Associates, where she provided strategic consulting and competitive intelligence for preclinical through postmarket development in the autoimmune space including rheumatology, dermatology, and rare/orphan diseases. In her free time, Brandi enjoys being outside with her husband and 2 dogs. Her hobbies include fishing, painting, cooking for others, and working on home improvement projects.
Laurel Kartchner
recently graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in Microbiology and Immunology but is an Arizona Wildcat at heart (Go U of A)! For the last 7 years, she has been working on animal models of burn injury and testing novel therapeutics for clinical use. She has 2 beautiful boys and loves to be outside with them as much as possible. Her hobbies are playing Ultimate Frisbee, knitting, crocheting, traveling, and baking gluten-free goodies.
Amritha Kidiyoor
is a biomedical scientist from Bangalore, India who migrated to North Carolina to obtain her master's (Biology) and Doctorate (Regenerative Medicine) degrees. She also served as a Science Journalism Intern at
BioTechniques
. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 22-month-old son, and her hobbies include reading, writing prose and poetry, fostering connections with people, and traveling.
