Dear Lovejoy Families,

Brrrr...it is definitely cold outside. An awesome perk of my job is getting to see our students learn in real time and feel their excitement in the air.  I stumbled upon some of our Kindergarteners programing their Bee Bots to travel to different sight words. They were so excited to teach Mrs. George how to program the "Bee Bot" to get to the correct sight word. This is just a small example of the greatness that happens in our building everyday.  Thank you for sharing your amazing children with us; it is truly an honor to be a part of their journey.

We hope that you will be able to join us on Monday for our Veteran's Day program.  I look forward to this event because it allows us to honor the Veteran's in our community while teaching our students the many sacrifices that our troops make everyday to protect our freedom.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

All My Best,
Wendy Craft

My mission is to be a servant leader who works with students, parents, and staff to build a community that fosters relationships and learning where everyone THRIVES.  Each day, I strive to make the choice to be great versus comfortable, because you can't be both!

Lovejoy Letter Campaign
We are officially kicking off the 6th annual Lovejoy Letter Campaign for teachers and staff members. Our goal is to have our community write appreciation letters for each teacher and staff member in Lovejoy ISD before the Thanksgiving break.

The letters do not need to be elaborate or lengthy. The goal is just for people to write a note of gratitude for supporting our students. We do not want to add heavy burdens to our community, but we do want to share how much we appreciate our teachers and staff! Keep it #shortandsweet and #showappreciation!

We would be grateful if you would write letters to any teacher or staff member who has been valuable to your child's educational experience. It can be from this current year, or someone who has made an impact in the past. Please label the envelope with "LLC" and the staff or teacher's name, then drop off the letter to the front office of your school by Friday, November 15th.

The letter campaign has become such a meaningful tradition in our community. We appreciate the time and effort your contributions will make again to this year's letter campaign. Remember #shortandsweet and #showappreciation. Also, don't forget the kids! The teachers and staff love to hear from the students they are impacting.
