Take a Walk!

Museum of the Earth at PRI Fund

Established in 2004 in memory of James Potorti, interpretive gorge walks are funded by the Community Foundation Museum of the Earth at PRI Fund. James grew up in Ithaca and was working in 1 World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.  James and his wife had visited Paleontological Research Institute (PRI) the weekend prior to his death. An endowed gift from his widow, Nikki Stern, supports each outstanding educational and beautiful walk program.

On Fridays in August, join the annual James Potorti Museum of the Earth/State Parks Gorge Walks . Free of charge, PRI offers the morning interpretive walks in partnership with the Finger Lakes State Parks.
