NEXT DROP-IN DISCUSSION: Sunday, February 1: Sanctuary Village. George Payne is the founder and director of Gandhi Earth Keepers International based here in Rochester. For the past three months he has been actively involved with the downtown homeless encampment referred to as "Sanctuary Village." He will speak about his experiences working in Sanctuary Village and discuss the effort to pass a Homeless Bill of Rights in Monroe County. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: Kids ages four and older join us every week in the sanctuary for the first portion of our worship service. Children's Worship begins after the Message for All Ages. Nursery care for babies and younger children is on the second floor provided throughout the service. We also have seating in our second floor foyer, where parents can hold their little ones and listen to the service via speaker.

Pick one up outside the sanctuary or at the auction table in the Clara Barton Lounge during coffee hour. Our auction is next Sunday, February 2 after the service. BOOK GROUP: TODAY, Sunday, January 25 at 12:15 in the Adult Lounge. We will read Heather Menzies Jones' Nanoman. This book is available from Amazon (you will need her middle name). We will also have a copy or two to pass around. The novel takes an irreverant look at modern American life with a great deal of humor while it also tells a good story. Everyone is welcome to attend. INTERFAITH IMPACT OF NEW YORK STATE will hold its annual legislative briefing at First Universalist on Sunday, March 15, 2:00-4:30 pm. The topic is "Show Me the Money: Escalating Inequality Hurts," with Michael Kink from Strong Economy for all Coalition (Albany), Ann Johnson of ACT Rochester and a fast food worker.
