Backpacks for School 7

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far!  If you would still like to purchase a backpack and/or school supplies for the children at School 7, there is still time! The last collection will take place on Sunday, September 27.  Please bring your receipts so  Sarah Singal can help you turn in the paperwork to get reimbursed. You're welcome to join us as we take the gifts to the school.  We have a healthy backpack fund, thanks to the generosity of this congregation! 

U.U. History Series
 
Part 1 of our Adult Religious E ducation program will take place on  Wednesday, September 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Clar a Barton Lounge.   In this session we will watch a video from the UU History series Long Strange Trip: 2000 years of UU History produced by Ron Cordes (approx. 1 hour), followed by facilitated discussion and conversation.  If you  plan on attending, please RSVP Michelle Yates at   [email protected]   or 585-310-2484.  Childcare available if requested one week in advance.


Parking Lot Sealing

The Church parking lot will be sealed this coming Thursday, September 24 th (weather permitting). The lot will be closed to all vehicle traffic until after the 
re-striping on Friday.  

Please find alternate parking on the street or nearby garages.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE - TONIGHT
Celebrating a national week of moral action for Climate Justice.  Join your voice, thoughts and prayers for the future in an interfaith prayer service this evening from 5:30 to 6:30 at St. Mary's Church.  Our own Ann Rhody and new Music Director Carol Xiong will perform.  

September 27:   THE BOOK GROUP will meet from 12-1 pm in the Adult Lounge. We will be discussing "Dreaming in Cuban" by Christina Garcia. A remarkably funny yet endearing novel set in Cuba and Brooklyn. A great read for this time in history. The book is short, lively, and informative.
