We don’t move on from grief we move forward with it
|
A TED talk-
“In a talk that's by turns heartbreaking and hilarious, writer and podcaster Nora McInerny shares her hard-earned wisdom about life and death. Her candid approach to something that will, let's face it, affect us all, is as liberating as it is gut-wrenching. Most powerfully, she encourages us to shift how we approach grief. "A grieving person is going to laugh again and smile again," she says. "They're going to move forward. But that doesn't mean that they've moved on."

Alzheimer’s Through The Stages: A Caregiver’s Guide
|
I wanted to let you know about a book which is available on Amazon, written by Mary Moller, MSW, CAS.
Mary currently works at the Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease at Albany Medical Center. She has a wealth of experience and her book is a straight forward and uncomplicated read for any caregiver of a loved one who has Alzheimer’s Disease.
Please pass this information on to anyone you know who might benefit from this book.
Also, Mary is available for presentations. Perhaps having her give a presentation at your parish would be one way of reaching out to the caregiver’s in your pews, who are caring for someone with this disease. Mary can be reached at

What To Do After
Someone Dies
|
National Institute on Aging

Is It Alzheimer's ... or LATE?
|
AARP
“More than 5 million people over age 65 suffer from dementia, a number that's expected to more than double by 2060. But though many of these cases are attributed to Alzheimer's disease,
a report
published in the medical journal Brain reveals that in cases involving people older than 80, up to 50 percent may, in fact, be caused by a newly identified form of dementia. It's called LATE, which is short for limbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy.
