Diaper Drive

Lois Baum, Chair of our new "Homelessness Task Force" is asking you to donate to our Diaper Drive. Bethany House shelters homeless women and children. On Sunday, August 2nd, we will collect your unopened boxes of diapers in the Clara Barton Lounge after church. Diaper boxes must be unopened... any size, including diapers for adults. We will immediately deliver them to Bethany House as a donation from UURoc. Thank you.

JULY 18: March with us in the Pride Parade down Park Avenue and East Avenue toward the Martin Luther King Park next to our church, with other UUs behind our banner on July 18. Please sign up on the Social Justice bulletin board in the Clara Barton Lounge with your contact information.  Gathering time is noon, and the parade starts at 1:00 PM, but more details -- including car pooling to the parade -- will be shared by those who sign up or email Connie Valk at [email protected]

 

JULY 19: Church Library to open two days in summer. The First Universalist Church library and bookstore will be open for browsing, borrowing and buying during coffee hour on July 19 and August 16.
