The file of the "auction of hard currency" in Iraq to the forefront after the comments of deputies in parliament, demanding the Prime Minister and the Supreme Judicial Council and the public prosecution in the country, put an end to the massive corruption carried out through the auction of hard currency organized by the Central Bank of Iraq every day. 

The bank sells between 140 million and 160 million dollars for public and private companies and banks, as part of a plan adopted since 2004 to control the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar and prevent its collapse in the market.

I wasn’t born with the frugal gene.

I wasn’t born with the frugal gene, but somehow my relationship with money changed over the past few years. It came as a bit of a shock to me. I always felt that people were inherently good or bad with money; as if choices to spend or save were etched in our DNA.

I was aware of the negative connotations surrounding being frugal. Terms like cheap and miserly are invoked to shame those who choose to save or avoid mass consumption. I remember hearing references to people who had money yet refused to spend it as tight, as in “he’s so tight he squeaks when he walks”.

MZ: We were told the US military sent a rep with the Chinese to the Pentagon to arrange the rest and here we are sitting here wondering where we are at

MZ: Iraq is still waiting on a new rate.

MZ: Europe is still waiting on the US. I did hear that there were a number of test exchanges done yesterday that went well . They are still waiting to exchange but we havn’t seen anything yet.
