A Status Update
We live in a society which bombards us with messages about how we should be living in order to be happy and fulfilled, and all of us succumb to following the message to some degree. But why do we follow it, who are we following it for, and what price do we pay? Rev. Peter House.
This Week's Drop-In Discussion: Not Religious but Spiritual? It is a common refrain heard more and more as the nation sees a rise in secularism and a decline in attending churches and synagogues. But what does it mean to be spiritual? We'll examine that very human search for something deeper. Bill Elwell will facilitate.

 Food Ingathering
The Monthly Food Ingathering will be held this Sunday, August 10. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected to benefit The Community Food Cupboard on Nester Street.
There is a particular need for peanut butter, tuna, unsweetened cereal, low-sodium soup, canned stew, and baked beans. |
 Train for RAIHN*
If you haven't trained for RAIHN yet, you will have that opportunity this Tuesday! The training will be held Tuesday, August 12th, from 6:30-8:30 PM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4115 Dewey Ave. The training will tell you what you need to know to help with our next RAIHN Week, from August 24-31, when First Universalist will host temporarily homeless families.
