PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Dear CREW Fort Worth Members,

I can't believe 2019 is half way over! The last quarter was jam packed with events:

  • EmpowerMENT member only event held at the home of CREW Member Marlene Beckman. Led by Kirsten Cessna, we discussed CREW Network's last industry paper Achieving Pay Parity in CRE.
  • Economy on the Rise? An update on the local economy and its affect on CRE by Laila Assanie, Senior Business Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
  • CREW de Mayo Golf Tournament Our annual golf tournament held at Texas Star in Euless, TX. Thanks again to our Title Partner, Juniper Title, and to Fort Construction for the bottles of Tequila. Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit the Carla Higgins Memorial Scholarship and other CREW Fort Worth initiatives.
  • 3rd Annual Past President's Luncheon at Rivercrest Country Club where the 2019 board updated past presidents on chapter happenings and discussed getting women more involved in the local CRE community.
  • Member Only Dine Around hosted by CREW Member Sarah Rega at Rise in Clearfork.
  • A City Wide Partnership How CRE is Transforming Homelessness, featuring 3 panelists discussing how the CRE industry can team up and implement deals while bringing positive change to our community.
  • New to CREW Breakfast held in Arlington brought out 14 new, existing and prospective members to learn more about our chapter and CREW Network.

On the administrative side, this last quarter the board completed revisions to our chapter bylaws which can be found on the CREW Fort Worth website here. Changes of note include restructuring the Legacy of Leadership Committee to the Mentorship Committee. Our board is also also working hard on updating our policies and procedures for the chapter which should be completed in the next couple of months.

If you haven't had the chance to update your profile on the CREW Network website, please take the time to do so. Through chapter management, we are able to identify the composition of our chapter membership which helps our overall strategic plan and programming. After you update your profile, don't forget to explore the CREWBiz community. There are tons of resources and free advice you can gain by using the platform.

If you ever want to learn more about CREW Network or if there is anything CREW Fort Worth can do for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally at mluera@trademarkproperty.com.

With appreciation,
Monica Luera, Trademark Property Company
2019 CREW Fort Worth President
