ARE YOU NEW TO FIRST UNIVERSALIST? Have you come a few times and want to find out more about Unitarian Universalism and our congregation? Then stop by the Welcome Table in the Clara Barton Lounge during coffee hour. You'll find friendly folks there every Sunday who are eager to talk with you!
CHURCH PICNIC: TODAY, Sunday, June 22, Durand Eastman Park, Acorn Shelter. The fire should be ready at 1 pm. Please bring something to grill and rolls, your drink, and a dish to pass. Dessert and place settings will be provided.
LOST AND FOUND: Please check the lost and found box (in the Clara Barton Lounge) and look in the Volunteer Office for any items that might be yours. Items that remain unclaimed after June 22 will be donated.
SUMMER SERVICES AT FIRST UNIVERSALIST: Look for our usual summer changes: Rev. Peter House will be our summer minister once again; services start at 10 and are a little shorter; coffee hour is replaced by simple cool refreshments. Check it out--it will be well worth it. And have you wondered what it would be like to be a greeter or an usher? You can learn how and try it out this summer, with no major commitment. OUR OUTLOOK (AKA PAPER OUTLOOK) IS AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE. As of August 2014, the paper (monthly) version of Our Outlook will only be sent by mail to those who request it. If you wish to continue to receive a paper version in the mail, please contact the office at [email protected] or 546-2826. (The weekly e-Outlook will continue to be delivered via email.)
SUMMER 2014 CALLING ALL MUSICIANS!!! Have you always thought of singing a solo at church? A chance to play that clarinet piece or show off your harmonica skills? This may be your big opportunity!! Our summer service schedule will start on Sunday, June 29. We have many talented musicians who play hymns and/or provide special music during the summer. Are you one of them? Even if you have just one piece you've always wanted to try to perform, we'll make a time and place for you to do it, whatever your voice or instrument.
