Riverbenders Headed to Summer Camp
Six other church youth groups will join 115 Riverbend youth and leaders at Riverbend's
18th Annual Youth Summer Camp next week (July 22-27). 'The Journey 2018,' as it is named, happens at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly Center in Black Mountain, N.C.

Joining Riverbend are 145 youth and leaders from these churches: Sunrise Community Church of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; Berachah Bible Church of Jonesboro, Ga.; Northside Baptist Church of Fort Myers, Fla.; Grace Heritage Church of Auburn, Ala.; Flint Reformed Baptist Church of Albany, Ga.; and Harvest Bible Chapel of Hickory, N.C.
Chief speaker for the week is Daniel Arcilla, Pastor of Student Ministries at Community Bible Church in Vallejo, Calif. Riverbend Teaching Pastor Scott Menez will teach one of the seven sessions and also do a question-and-answer time with Pastor Daniel.
The youth are scheduled to leave the church--most of them by chartered bus--early Sunday morning (July 22) and return home the following Friday evening.

REBEKAH DAVIS
Prominent Role
Riverbend youth Rebekah Davis, 13, is playing the role of Peter Pan in the Daytona Playhouse presentation of "Captain Hook's Revenge," a lively musical comedy and parody of the original Peter Pan story.
Rebekah, daughter of Candace Davis and pictured in the green Peter Pan outfit, is among the cast members featured in the July 12 issue of the
Ormond Beach Observer
.
The show opened last weekend and has two performances remaining--Saturday (July 21) and Sunday (July 22). Both are scheduled at 2 p.m. at the Playhouse facility at 100 Jessamine Boulevard in Daytona Beach. Tickets: $7-$13.

JULY 31
CTS Orientation
All applicants who have been approved for admission to Christ Theological Seminary should put Tuesday, July 31, on your calendar.
Orientation for students and their spouses is planned for 6 p.m. in Room 185 at Riverbend. Those who will be auditing the
Hermeneutics 1 course should also attend.
All fees and tuition should be paid before July 31, and they MUST be paid before the first class date.
Class schedule for Module 1:
Beginning Greek 1
(for degree students only)--meets four consecutive Saturdays, beginning Aug. 4 (7-10:45 a.m.) ...
Hermeneutics 1
(for degree & audit students)--meets four consecutive Tuesday & Thursday nights (eight total sessions), beginning Aug. 7 (6-9:45 p.m.).

These folks were among the 15 acts at Riverbend's church-wide variety show last Sunday night in the Worship Center. An audience of 265, which included several guests, enjoyed the performances, as well as the emcee antics of Worship Leader Heyward Evans & Youth Director Aaron Johnsen.

Pastor Michael and Summer Harsch and their family were honored at Riverbend last Wednesday for 20 years of ministry to our church.
Pastor Michael has accepted a pastoral staff position with Lakewood Ranch Baptist Church in Sarasota, with his duties beginning in early August.
