Gratitudes

Thank you to all who made last Friday's run a success. We had over 25 people prep and go in on the run, and countless more who donated clothes and food. Your spirit and generosity made a difference to those we met that very cold night. Upcoming 2020 dates will be posted soon. We always welcome donations of CLEAN, gently-used, adult-size, in-season casual clothes, coats, gloves, hats, and NEW (non-white) men’s boxers, women's underwear, and adult thermal underwear. Questions, contact Irene Jong ( ijongfusw@outlook.com ).
Caring for One Another

Every member of the congregation is asked to join the Caring Committee. Being on the committee just means signing up if needed to give a ride, make a meal, a call, etc. It is a rare but important need that we try to fill for each other when we can. Print out the sign-up form HERE and check off what you think you can offer. Leave it in the Caring Committee mailbox, or email or give to Joan Livingston or Kay Semenza, who have volunteered to organize the responses and take the calls from anyone who knows of someone in need, yourself or another.

Common Read

The UU Common Read for 2019-20 is An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States . The year 2020 is the 400th anniversary of the encounter at Plymouth between colonists and those native to the land, and an ideal time to examine this mythologized origin story and others through the eyes of indigenous peoples.
