CARES Emergency Grants
Apply for a student CARES Emergency Grant. Students who are currently enrolled at CMCC, have completed the 2020-2021 FAFSA and who have met the eligibility requirements to receive federal student aid are eligible to apply for assistance. Applications will be reviewed and processed by the Office of Financial Aid on a rolling basis.

The Brian C. Thayer Memorial Scholarship is currently accepting applications through May 15, 2021.
The $1,000 scholarship is for students enrolled or enrolling in a construction-related field of study at a Maine Community College.

Zoom Virtual Writing Center
Zoom tutoring offers students face-to-face, real-time help with their papers. Zoom conferencing will be available throughout the week on the following days and times through May 2, 2021.

Brightspace Submission
To access this resource, easily get the Online Writing Center listed in your courses.
- Go to the Discover tab at the top of your Brightspace homepage.
- In the Discover search bar, type On-Line Writing Center.
- Click “enroll” and the On-Line Writing Center will always be available in your list of courses.
Once you have enrolled in the Online Writing Center, click on the Online Writing Center window and follow the instructions for submitting your paper. Tutors are notified your paper has been uploaded and will generally respond within 24-48 hours with feedback.
