Summer Breakfast Volunteers
Our Sunday Summer Breakfasts continue through August 18th. Individuals and groups are encouraged to volunteer to help. The cost of the food is reimbursed.

"Aging Backwards" Exercise Class
Meets at the church every Tuesday and Friday morning at 9:30 AM. Includes low intensity, gentle stretching, and a short devotion and prayer together. For both men and women. Contact Barbara Walker to attend the Tuesday Class (817-996-1187), and Lori Vinz to attend the Friday Class (817-917-9037). If you would like to start another class at a different time, the videos are available through the church office.
The Fellowship Golf group meets on Thursdays at Bear Creek Golf Club. Tee time between 9-10 AM. Hope you can join us. Everyone is welcome! For more information, contact Carl Young at cyengineer@msn.com.

Summer Reading Ministry
We are putting together a team from Living Word to tutor students in reading at three different locations in Grapevine through August 7. You can sign-up for the location of your choice, and the dates that fit your summer schedule. Classes are from 12- 1 PM Monday through Thursday each week. More information and to sign up:
Back to School Fair
We are forming a team to serve at the GCISD Back to School Fair on Saturday August 10, from 8:15 am to 12 noon. Over 1,300 students are registered to attend. Our volunteers will help guide families through the fair to get the supplies and services they need.
"Paws and Pals"
LWLC Pet Therapy Ministry
If you have a well-behaved, friendly pet that's good around strangers, consider joining "Paws and Pals" our LWLC Pet Therapy Ministry. Next visit to Woodridge Nursing Home is this Saturday, July 13 at 1:30 pm. Contact Steve to request more information, or to sign up. steve@lwlc.com.
Meat Smoking To Evangelize
We are looking to put together a meat "Smoking Competition Team" of 6-8 folks for competing in local festivals over the summer. If we are fortunate to place, that will be an added blessing for spreading the Word of our Lord through food and fellowship. For more information, contact Carl Young at cyengineer@msn.com.
School Kit Bags
We are looking for people who like to sew. We want to make school kit bags for Latin American Lutheran Missions to help students in the Laredo, TX area. If you are interesting please contact Steve. steve@lwlc.com
Handmade With Love Ministry
Join the team to make handmade caps, socks and blankets for new born babies.
Once a month, the items are collected and donated to our mission partner, Mid-Cities Pregnancy Center. Contact Steve for more information. steve@lwlc.com.
LWLC Sewing Group
We meet the second Saturday of every month from 10-2 PM at the church. Join us as we quilt for Lutheran World Relief. There are various jobs you can assist with. For more info., Click Here.
Union Gospel Mission
Serving Dinners
If you would like to help volunteer to serve dinners at the Union Gospel Mission Homeless Shelter, (1321 East Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth), please join us the 2nd Thursday of every month from

Congregational Mission Trips
"You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
LWLC is sending you, because you are the missionaries sharing the gospel:
- Dove Elementary: Witness to kids 3rd-5th grade at Dove Elementary Kid's Beach Club Thursdays 2:45-4:05pm through games, Bible stories, and snack time. Anyone who cannot physically volunteer, being a prayer partner is a great way to be involved. Resumes in the fall. Click Here
- Chicago: Be a witness, partnering with "My Father's Business" as we build relationships while playing basketball, sharing a meal and conversation, and sharing the gospel with inner-city youth. Trip dates: July 12-13; August 23-24. Cost $75. Click Here
- Junior and Senior High Youth: This summer the Senior High youth will be heading to Pine Ridge, SD to do building projects, working alongside the Oglala Sioux Indian tribe. July 19-27. Cost for youth participants $325. Click Here
- New Mexico: Witness to a nation within our nation in Navajo, NM. Working with a Missouri Synod Church, we will build relationships with the Navajo people as they teach us to make fry bread and beaded jewelry and we teach them about Jesus and His love. Trip dates: Oct. 3-7. Cost $100 Click Here
Where are you being called?
Pray for one of our mission partners, Build International (Grand Prairie TX). Their goal is to spread the message of God's love and hope through Jesus to people who have not heard His name. They mostly work in 16 countries in Asia, sharing the gospel with over 1,000,000 people each year. Pray that God would bless their efforts.
