NEXT DROP-IN DISCUSSION: Sunday, April 13: The Real Solution to Rochester's Poverty. Discussion of an article written by Bruce Popper, local labor leader, published in the 2/26/14 - 3/4/14 issue of City Newspaper. Facilitated by Beth Ares.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION:Kids ages four and older join us every week in the sanctuary for the first portion of our worship service. Children's Worship begins after the Message for All Ages. Nursery care for babies and younger children is provided throughout the service on the second floor. We also have seating in our second floor foyer, where parents can hold their little ones and listen to the service via speaker.

GIFT: Generously Investing for Tomorrow Stewardship Sunday is here!! Have you returned YOUR "piece of the pie?" Pledges are by far the largest piece of our income "pie chart"- in fact, they are the reason we can operate at all! Be sure to return your pledge card to church TODAY- and stop in at coffee hour on Sunday to have a piece of real pie to celebrate our shared commitment. THANK YOU to all who have pledged so far.
FOOD INGATHERING is next Sunday, April 13.Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected to benefit The Community Food Cupboard on Nester Street. There is a particular need for canned vegetables, soup, and mac and cheese.
EASTER PLANTS: Please help decorate the sanctuary for Easter by ordering a plant for $9. Ruth Fitzgerald and Marcy Klein will be taking plant orders through Sunday, April 13th. Please specify whether you want to take the plant home with you after the Easter service or want to give it to a member of the home congregation. If you'd like to dedicate the plant in memory of or in honor of someone, we'll list his/her name in the Easter Sunday order of service. Also, if you'd like to deliver a plant to someone, we could use your help!

KEITH STOTT will give a concert in the sanctuary on Sunday April 13 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. He will play some of his piano compositions and read some of his poetry, short stories, and selections from his recently completed novel. All are welcome to attend. Suggested donation is $10.
BRYAN HOLTEN, our Director of Music, will present his second Doctoral Recital on Tuesday, April 8, at 7:00p. He will play a variety of organ works by Buxtehude, Bach, Franck, Whitlock, and Reimann, plus the world premiere of "Uluru" by Eastman composer Nathan Stang. The recital is free and open to the general public, at Christ Church, 141 East Ave.

WOULD YOU GIVE UP YOUR BED for one night if it could change a homeless child's life? Car City 2014 - the signature fundraiser for RAIHN - is happening May 3-4at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue. Car City welcomes families, students, youth groups, scout troops and individuals to spend the night in their car, raising awareness of homelessness and funds that will go directly for services to homeless families working to achieve sustainable independence. You can help your community and support this cause as a sleep-over participant, a parking pass participant (come for evening entertainment only) or a Car City donor.
