ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR JUNE 9, 2013:
NEXT SERVICE: Sunday, June 16: A Celebration of Men. On this Father's Day, the service highlights the importance of "male energy". Homer Simpson or Father Knows Best, or something else/more? Rev. Martha L. Munson.
NEXT DROP-IN DISCUSSION: Sunday, June 16: Unidentified Flying Objects. The subject of UFOs won't seem to go away. Two recent movies, THRIVE and SIRIUS, talk not just about UFOs, but alien technology to solve the energy crisis. What's going on? Hank Stone will facilitate a discussion.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: Kids ages four and older join us every week in the sanctuary for the first portion of our worship service. Children's Worship begins after the Message for All Ages. Nursery care for babies and younger children is provided throughout the service on the second floor. We also have seating in our second floor foyer, where parents can hold their little ones and listen to the service via speaker.
THE ANNUAL MEETING will be held TODAY, in the Clara Barton Lounge immediately following the service. Annual lreports are available in the Clara Barton Lounge.
FOOD INGATHERING is TODAY. Donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, and paper goods will be collected to benefit The Food Cupboard on Nester Street.
THE LIBRARY AND BOOKSTORE will be closed for the summer, so now is the time to select some good reading for July and August.
SANCTUARY RENOVATIONS: You may be wondering why the service is being held in the church lounge. We are in the midst of renovating our Sanctuary & look forward to resuming Sunday services there by the end of June.

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS!!! Our summer service schedule will start on Sunday, June 30. We have many talented musicians who play hymns and/or provide special music during the summer. Are you one of them? Even if you have just one piece you've always wanted to try to perform, we'll make a time and place for you to do it, whatever your voice or instrument. GENERAL ASSEMBLY (GA): The Unitarian Universalist Association's General Assembly will be held in Louisville, KY June 19-23, 2013. The theme is "From Promise to Commitment." Topics include: environmental justice, the next steps in immigration justice, anti-racism, anti-oppression multiculturalism, organizing for justice, multigenerational work, growing Unitarian Universalism, leadership education, spiritual growth and theology.
