WEEKLY WRAP UP for Friday, July 12, 2019

A message from your Chamber

We want to invite you to tell the story of your business at the East WilCo Business Expo and Job Fair.
Your business's story is important. It's what you do and why you do it. It's your integrity and commitment to customer service. It's what your customers know and trust about you because they know and trust YOU.
There is no better way to show and tell your story than with one-on-one business-to-customer experiences. That's what the East WilCo Business Expo and Job Fair do. They give you the chance to recruit new customers and new employees in a fun, festive atmosphere.
Last year's Business Expo and Job Fair saw more than 1000 potential customers and future employees from throughout the area stop in to learn about the goods and services about 70 of the most forward-thinking business in town.
The 2019 Business Expo and Job Fair, sponsored by the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce and the Taylor Economic Development Corporation, will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Williamson County Expo Center.
At last year's event, visitors left with more than $4,000 in gifts and prizes. As always, the Expo will be free and open to the public.
Sponsors benefit from extra exposure and get their booths in the best locations. If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities, click HERE.
Early-bird pricing for individual booths is in effect until Aug. 9. Look hereto learn more. We also need sponsors.

Get ready with Booth Boot Camp
The Expo is an amazing way to promote your business but there are tips and tricks to making the most of it. On Monday, July 29, you have TWO opportunities to learn the fundamentals of making the Expo -- and, heck, any other trade show you might want to attend -- stir up business for YOUR business.
Join us at noon* or at 6 p.m. at Sirloin Stockade to get the best information around. We have packets so we'd like to be prepared and the only way we can is to ask you to register. To do that, just send us an email to this address and let us know which time you prefer. (*Meals, if desired, should be purchased at the door).
It's a great way to get in shape before Sept. 14's big event!

LEAD.  CONNECT.  LEARN.

 Business of the Month

The Chamber Ambassadors thanked Kaitlin and Cliff Olle and their family for redeveloping the 1923 school building on Seventh Street by naming them June's Business of the Month. Once under threat, Old Taylor High includes an apartment complex, restaurant, business offices, a craft brew pub, and an event center while continuing to serve as home to the Switzer Senior Center and Meals-On-Wheels program.
