4:00 p.m. Gathering Reception with refreshments
5:00 p.m. Celebration of Life

If you plan to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible to  Gini's sister, Sue Creamer ( [email protected] or  240 446-9969) both so that the family will know how much food to prepare and so that Sue can give you specific directions to find the farmhouse. (The farmhouse is approximately a mile from the turn on to E. Hyatt Road. Y ou will soon see a house on your right.  After you pass the house, the road forks, and E. Hyatt turns right-but you should take the LEFT fork and go straight, following the road into the woods.  Keep taking LEFT fork until you reach the farmhouse at the end of the gravel road, which is about one mile total from the initial turn on to E. Hyatt. Again, please be in touch with Sue for even more specific directions from her.)

Condolences may be sent to:

Take Action In Honor of Wendi Winters: On June 28th, five members of the Annapolis Capital Gazette were killed by a gunman. One of those killed was Wendi Winters, a beloved and esteemed member of the UU Church of Annapolis and a long-time UU. Wendi's children asked that the UU Legislative Ministry of Maryland develop tools for UUs to use to write their candidates for election and let them know their thoughts about some of the issues surrounding gun violence. These materials will be available after service on Sunday.

Advice from UU's Side with Love: The Rev. Elizabeth Nguyen, Side with Love Senior Strategist for the UUA, passes along the following information to our congregation in the event someone is interested in sponsoring refugees and immigrants.  She advises reading this from the Action Network, and this from Newsweek article found here

Rev. Nguyen indicates that volunteers from SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) and some UUs are volunteering to help vet sponsors--a key step in finding sponsors.  She invites people who are interested in joining that team to contact her at  [email protected] or 617.948.4356.
