Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm
Bellwether Farm offers a summer camp where school-age children can immerse themselves in fun, engaging activities. These programs will seek to teach healthy social, nutritional, and environmental practices, while providing a safe context in which to encounter God's beautiful creation. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about organic gardening, animal care, and creative cooking. They will also participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, field games, and archery. The Bellwether Farm staff is invested in the life of every camper, seeking to inspire future generations to become passionate leaders in the world around them.

Education for Ministry (EfM) Mentor Training
The Diocese of Ohio will sponsor an EfM Mentor Training on  August 8-10 at Bellwether Farm. The cost for this event is $275 and includes all fees and meals.  Register by July 29. Questions can be directed to the Rev. Brad Purdom at  bpurdom@dohio.org or Kate Gillooly at  lazaruslife2000@aol.com.
The Episcopal Network for Stewardship Presents a Facebook Live Conversation about Planning for your Fall Stewardship Campaign
Richard Felton, CEO of The Episcopal Network for Stewardship, and the Rev. Timothy Dombek, Canon for Stewardship and Planned Giving, Diocese of Arizona and Rector, Church of the Advent, Sun City West, Arizona will lead a Facebook Live conversation around planning for your upcoming pledge drive. The session will be broadcast live on  Facebook on Wednesday, July 24 at 2:00 p.m. Timothy and Richard will provide successful, easy to implement ideas for energizing your fall stewardship campaign.
 
The Diocese of Ohio is a member of The Episcopal Network for Stewardship ( TENS) which is an association of church leaders, both lay and ordained, who are committed to living generously and helping others live lives of generosity. TENS provides training and resources to stewardship leaders and congregations across The Episcopal Church and beyond. Our Diocesan membership provides parishes with full access to a vast catalog of stewardship resources and materials. Bishop's Bike Ride 2019
The Bishop's Bike Ride is back!  This year, the ride will be a one-day event which will start and finish at Bellwether Farm on Saturday, August 31. The event will feature three different ride lengths to accommodate riders of all ages and abilities: a novice/family fun ride, an intermediate ride, and a longer ride for experienced riders. Each route will lead to a parish where volunteers will provide lunch. The riders will return to Bellwether Farm the same day for dinner, fellowship, and fun. The event will be held during the Family Camping Weekend over Labor Day weekend at Bellwether Farm. Overnight accommodations will be available on Friday and Saturday evenings. More details to come.
Vacation Bible School Photographs
We are looking for pictures of Vacation Bible Schools around the Diocese. We would like to try and highlight as many parishes as possible. PARISH EVENTS
Beginner's Yoga
St. Mark's, Canton is offering beginner's yoga the third Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. beginning July 18 Each class is $10.00. Please bring your own mat and block (if you'd like to use one.) The class is an hour long and good for all levels and ages. RSVP on Facebook or by emailing the church office .
Afternoon Tea
St. James, Painesville is hosting an Afternoon Tea on Saturday, July 13 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Carol Hemphill, St. James Historian, will give a present on the history of St. James at 3:30 p.m. The event will be a traditional English afternoon tea and will feature savory finger sandwiches, small items, and freshly brewed tea served in china tea pots and tea cups. There will be door prizes, homemade baked goods, and raffle baskets. Everyone who brings one can of fruit to "End 68 Hours of Hunger" will receive one free raffle ticket. (One free ticket per person.) Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available through Eventbrite or by calling the office at 440.354.3526.
Hymn Service
On Sunday, August 4, St. Thomas, Port Clinton will be holding a special hymn service at 9:00 a.m. Please contact the church office at 419.734.3404 to tell us your favorite hymn so we can include it in the service .
Sundays at 5 - Summer Storytelling Series
Christ Church, Huron is holding contemporary services throughout the summer at either Lake Front Park or the sanctuary at the church. The services began Memorial Day Weekend, May 26, and will go through Labor Day weekend, September 1 Throughout the series, the services will have a psychiatric nurse, a mental health counselor, the head of chaplaincy program at a Toledo Hospital, Denise and Bill Stewart, Laura Hnat, Kate Gillooley, the Rev. Kelly Aughenbaugh, the Rev. Greg Stark, and the Rev Alex Barton coming to share the story of their journey of faith.

The Diocese is collecting parish coffee mugs for use at Bellwether Farm. When not in use, the mugs will be showcased on the shelves at Bellwether Farm's coffee station.
