2019 UBCM Convention Registration
UBCM's 2019 Annual Convention and Tradeshow will be held September 25-27 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Registration is now open and will close September 13. Registration will be available onsite thereafter within the limitations of each venue.

Ride-Hailing Regulations Announced
New ride-hailing regulations announced by the Province focus on passenger, driver and company safety and open the door for companies to make application in early September. The new regulations will also impact some regulatory and administrative powers presently held by municipalities in relation to passenger directed vehicles.

Consultation on Daylight Savings Time
The Province is consulting British Columbians on the practice of switching biannually between Daylight Savings Time (DST) and Standard Time. The states of Washington, Oregon and California, are now considering legislation that, if passed, will result in those jurisdictions adopting DST year-round.
