"ROOTED" SUMMER TEACHING SERIES
BEGINS THIS WEEK!

"Biblically Rooted" is one of VRBC's core values--we want everything we do, both personally and collectively, to be "rooted" in God's Word. Just as the roots of a tree provide stability and nourishment, we believe being rooted in Scripture helps us stay firmly planted where God wants us. By sinking our roots down deep into God's Word, we can grow into the people He wants us to be.

"Rooted" will be a four-week sermon series, and just like in past years, it promises to be a summer favorite! As before, we'll focus on a specific passage of Scripture that provides spiritual stability and nourishment, and we'll be challenged to memorize a portion of that Scripture. Join us as we commit together to be more biblically rooted!

THE PAUL PROJECT
AUGUST 3 | 7:30 PM | MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

Make plans now to join us at 7:30 pm on Friday, August 3, for a powerful night of entertainment  and inspiration as local actor Greg English gives us a window into the life of the a postle Paul. Greg, a gifted actor with many years of experience in the theater, will be performing an original one-man play based on the life  of Paul in his own words, directly from Scripture.

INVITE OPPORTUNITY: This is not only a  great chance for you and your Grow Group to learn more about the apostle Paul, it is also a great opportunity to invite your  friends and neighbors who aren't connected to Christ or a local church. The  gospel will be presented clearly as part of the play, but the overall event will be  non-threatening and invite-friendly. Mark your calendars now! For more information,
TEN-YEAR STAFF ANNIVERSARIES
JULIE MCCORD |  ANNA HAZELRIGG

We are privileged to announce the ten-year staff anniversaries of Julie McCord,  Student Ministry Program Coordinator and Staff Culture Specialist, and Anna Hazelrigg, Assistant Director, Weekday Preschool

Julie has been a key component to the student ministry for the past decade, bringing tremendous organizational and planning skills to the group. Additionally, she is a tireless worker, brings energy and fun to the staff on a daily basis, and has a huge heart for VRBC.

For the past ten years, Anna has coordinated the nearly two hundred kids who come in and out of our preschool every week. She's never afraid to tackle a new challenge, is loved by hundreds of past and present weekday preschool students, and has proven to be the glue of the weekday preschool program time and time again.

If you would like to say a word of congratulations or thanks in appreciation of their efforts, notecards and baskets will be available at the welcome center in the lobby. Thank you, Julie and Anna, for all you do!

VRBC MISSIONARY SPOTLIGHT
THE BEJAR FAMILY

The Bejar family hosts missionaries from North American churches so that they can experience the transforming power of evangelism and discipleship alongside national church members. Their goals are to start new churches and train new leaders. Currently, they are training around 400 pastors and leaders every year in Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru, as well as helping equip couples for ministry in different places in Peru.

The Bejars ask for prayers for their health, strength, and finances for mission trips.
