“What we say and how we say it, our every word and gesture, ought to express God's compassion, tenderness and forgiveness for all."
Pope Francis
“Make every effort to live in peace and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord . See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God..."
Hebrews 12:14
Much to Be Learned from Children
There are many visual images we've seen this year that have been hard on our hearts. Take a moment to view the video above and feast your eyes on an organic moment of absolute tenderness. Writer Maxime Lagacé once said, "We should all be inspired by children; they don't care about fear or mistakes." The two toddlers featured here prove Legace's point. What a blessing it would be to start over, to be young once again and to possess the pure heart of a child.

One-on-One with Our Sisters
The issue of racism is among the most complex in our world and undoubtedly taps into a hotbed of emotions for all of us. Beyond its political and cultural significance, racial inequality also is a spiritual issue. Here. a pair of our Sisters reflect on current events:
Prayer & Action
"In addition to prayer, we need to write to our leaders and demand equal rights for all people. We have to recognize that those of us who were born white were born into a privileged class of society through no merit of our own. We need to educate ourselves as to the plight of those who were not born into white privilege, and this can be done through reading, listening to the plights of those less fortunate and helping however we can. If we do nothing, we are part of the problem. Let us be a part of the solution — one voice, one email, one outreach at a time can make a difference.
Sister Frances Marie Duncan
Love Thy Neighbor
"Racism is a vicious and destructive evil. The suffering and oppression of our African American brothers and sisters can no longer be tolerated. The United States of America is a melting pot of all those who came to America to experience the many freedoms we enjoy. We live a democratic way of life where there is justice and equality for all. We are a government of the people, by the people, and for all of its people ... no exceptions ... or we are not a democracy. We are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, rooted in the Gospel of love of God and neighbor. May we rise to the occasion and make a difference! God love you, and may you be that love to all you meet."

A Day of Giving
This Saturday, June 20 — the Summer Solstice — has been designated as a special day to support our St. Francis Center for Renewal retreat ministry in Bethlehem, Pa., which has been particularly hard hit by COVID-19 closures.
Jubiliarian Spotlight
Join us each Wednesday for the next few weeks in congratulating each of our 2020 Jubilarians, as they celebrate milestones in religious life amid the extraordinary circumstances of 2020. Today, meet Sister Carol Ann Papp, who celebrates her 50 Jubilee this year.

Are You Listening?
God often whispers. If we do not take the time to listen, we may overlook His message. Sister Pat Marie Buranosky recommends this short video and song as a moving reminder to recognize God's presence — sometimes in the little things — all around us.
