Wednesday at the MN State Capitol, MIIAB Board Member and Independent Insurance Agent from Reliable Agency in Cloquet, MN, Scott Wojtysiak, testified in the House Labor, Industry, Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee in opposition to HF 37 which further extends the COVID-19 workers’ compensation presumption to school employees. Scott did an amazing job speaking from his experience as an independent agent, employer and as a Certified School Risk Manager and sharing the Association’s concerns about the impacts of expanding the presumption beyond health care workers and first responders.
