We're (Re)certified!

We use the term “ trauma-informed ” a lot, but did you know that we use a specific model for the way we care for our children, families and staff? Three years ago, we completed our trauma-informed care certification through the Sanctuary Institute , and as of this month we are officially re-certified for another three years!

Award-Winning Team!

Our outstanding food service team was recently recognized with the 2019 Food Safety Excellence Award (something only given to about 9% of Kansas City's permitted food establishments).
Award-Winning School!

The day treatment school on our Gillis Campus was recognized as a School of Excellence by the National Association for Special Education Teachers. Congratulations to Pam Sanders, director of education, and our school-based team! Special thanks to the donors, volunteers and supporters who are invested in our education programs. Our team is proud to share this award with every single one of you!
Mentors Matter

Ever wonder if you're making a difference? At age 72, Ray Fuller doesn't need to wonder any more. He spent 18 years as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters before becoming a foster parent. Now, he is bringing those years of experience to mentor one of our youth.
