FRESH PERSPECTIVE

I have been an intern at Greater Lafayette Commerce for nearly two months now, and my tasks have varied from day to day. From taking pictures to livestreaming on Facebook, designing promotional material to writing these articles, I have had the opportunity to get experience doing several different things. By working on so many of the different facets that fall under marketing, my perspective has changed because of what I have experienced. I have seen the appreciation from business owners when they celebrate grand openings or anniversaries, as well as enthusiasm from students as they learn about robotics. Witnessing the impact of these programs has given me a new outlook on the ways a community can develop and grow. Read more

Do you love visiting the Lafayette Farmer’s Market? Have you been looking for an opportunity to volunteer? Would your organization benefit from a free marketing platform? Volunteers will have the opportunity to soak in the ambiance of the market while assisting with the SNAP benefits tent. Farmer's Market
The Lafayette Farmers Market has been around for over 165 years! On Saturdays, from early May through late October, the air in downtown Lafayette is filled with the smell of fresh garden flowers, baked goods, vegetables, fruits, plus honey, jams and jellies. Regardless of the day or time, a visit to the Lafayette Farmers Market promises some of the finest and freshest produce, as well as an enjoyable opportunity to browse as you stroll through one of Indiana's oldest outdoor markets!


Mosey Down Main Street
Mosey Down Main Street is a series of street celebrations brought to you by the local artistic community. Join the volunteers, downtown business owners, artists and musicians who come together once a month from May through September to offer a free family friendly event that takes place right down the center of Main Street.
