BHA Principal's Update
Assalamu Alaikum Dear BHA families,

Hope everyone is doing great by the grace of Allah SWT. Today I want to focus on the tuition as there are many families who for one reason or another are behind on tuition payments. I want to remind everyone that the school depends on the tuition and that your timely payment is not only your obligation to the school but with Allah SWT. Please take care of this immediately without delay.

You are always welcome to come into the school offices for in person payments but it is easier and safer to send it by mail. You can simply drop a check in the mail or send your tuition using online bill payment through your bank. It is a very easy and convenient way to make the payments.

To do so please go to Bill Payment via your Online Banking Account and:

• Add “Islamic School of San Diego” to your online banking account
• Use the following address for payment:
5663 Balboa Ave., P.O.Box # 407, San Diego, CA 92111
• Add “Student Name” and “Grade” in memo
• Can be done manually every month or set it up for automatic monthly scheduled payments

Once again, your timely payments do make a significant difference and I urge you to catch up with any past due payments and bring your account to current immediately.

Muhammad Aftab Diwan, MEd
In honor of Black History Month, BHA would like to recognize African American Professional Boxer, activist, entertainer and philanthropist Muhammad Ali. He was nicked named The Greatest and a famous celebrated figure of the 20th century. He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.

"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a Champion!"

"Don't count the days; make the days count."

"He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life."

"I don't smoke but I keep a match box in my pocket. When my heart slips towards a sin, I burn a match stick and heat my palm. Then I say to myself: 'Ali, you can't bear even this heat, how would you bear the unbearable heat of Hell?'

-Muhammad Ali Quotes
"Ana Martinez, the producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, says Ali "did not want the name of Muhammad to be stepped on," and so in 2002, Ali's star was ceremoniously presented on an easel and then put on the wall at the entrance to what is now called the Dobly Theatre." Student Highlight: NJHS Walkathon
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) hosted its second project for the year masha'Allah. The goal of this project was to raise money for people financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prophet (S) said:
“ Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields [or hides the misdeeds of] a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will aid His slave so long as he aids his brother.”

We would like to congratulate all the participants and thank them for raising money for this very important need in our community. Jazakum Allahu khairan.

You can still participate by walking and raising money this week!

Please remember to fill in the form if you participated, and send the money by Monday, Feb. 22nd, 2021. And don't forget to share your walkathon pictures with bha.njhs@issdweb.org

The Family Form: forms.gle/V8KcUSSRpuhR2WVQA

The Individual Form: forms.gle/fDiWJV8B5UiDhyQu5

Please bring the collected money to the campus closest to you and give them to Br. Ismail or Sister Saba. Otherwise, send it to Brother Ismail in the same way that you pay your tuition but label it NJHS walkathon.

Jazakumu Allahu khairan.
