We're Halfway There!
With midterms happening, it seems like a good time to take a moment to ask your student how they are doing in school. Don't be surprised if you get a short answer. They are learning to find their independence just as you are learning to let go a little. However, there is still a need for you to stay connected to your student. Try asking them about other daily activities, What's your favorite restaurant? Is your apartment noisy? Have you found any cool hikes nearby? What's your favorite place on campus? When they are ready, they will talk to you about their academics because they know you care and are interested in their success.

If your student's midterm grade isn't where they want it to be, the good news is, there is still time to get help. This article gives you some tips on how to support your student through midterms.

After their midterms, your college student will be looking to celebrate. Spring Break starts this week, here's a few good ideas to talk to your student about before they leave on their vacation.
