4th of July Party Food for The Purple Door
 Due July 1st
fourth-july-corn.jpg
For many years, Parkway has provided a basket of party food suitable for a 4th of July celebration to the residents of the Women's Shelter. This year, the project is the same but the means will be different. Rather than distributing food bags to be filled, you may make a financial contribution to "July 4th Food Baskets." The funds collected will be used to buy HEB gift cards for the women who are clients of The Purple Door (Women's Shelter).

Please act by July 1st. Because we haven't been gathering at the church for worship this project is getting a late start, but your generosity will help these women enjoy a festive 4th of July.

Estimated cost per basket is $25. We would love to provide 25 baskets, please give generously.

You can Text to Give by texting  parkwaypc  to  73256, click the link that is sent to you.  This will open the giving page for you.

Sign-up has begun for the annual Parkway Labor Day Retreat at MO-Ranch and will continue until all space is full.

We have a variety of housing available.  Old members, new members, visitors, and guests are welcome to take part in this beloved Parkway tradition.

El Divino Salvador's Clothes Closet
Although the Clothes Closet cannot be open at this time, there will be a great need when it can again open its doors. Please bring clothes and shoes that you may be ready to clear out to the Parkway church office during its current hours. Thank you for continuing to support El Divino in this project.

Sara's Kids Ministry
Parkway has been purchasing birthday gifts for children in foster care since Spring of 2003.  We do this through Sara's Kids Ministry, a memorial to long-time member and child protective worker, Sara Ward.  During the pandemic we have not been able to get a monthly list of children nor get out to purchase gifts.

We should have a list of children with August birthdays soon.  Regular participants that want to continue in the same manner, your name will remain on the list. Otherwise, there are several other ways you may participate.  One is by signing up online, available as soon as we have the list of children's names.  You may also contribute to Sara's Kids fund, clicking  here choose Sara's Kids Project or Text to Give by texting parkwaypc to 73256, click the link that is sent to you and follow the prompts.

Once you have an assigned child, you can purchase a gift and drop it off to Parkway, wrapped or in a gift bag. Or you can purchase it from www.amazon.com and have it shipped to the church. Please send an email to Cheryl  to let her know the child's name.

Traditionally, we give $20 gift certificates to teenagers and buy a gift valued at $10 to $15 for younger children.

Stay tuned for the August birthday list and instructions to access the list online. Questions? Email Lessie.   Gifts due by July 27th.
