Growler USA Kitchen and Taphouse

Last month, I joined pub owner Vaslav Taranduke in a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the Grand Opening of Growler USA Kitchen and Taphouse located at 787 The Alameda, #10.

The quality of shopping, dining, and gathering spots on The Alameda has grown tremendously in the last few years. It's great to see local residents establish businesses in their own community. I'm a big proponent of passionate entrepreneurship in tech as well as craft food and beverages.

Electricity Bills

Expect higher electricity bills this month, but not because of SJCE. On 10/1 PG&E increased its electric distribution rates by 8.7% and gas rates by 3.3%. SJCE is holding its rates steady, so your electric generation rates are still lower than PG&E. By being an SJCE customer, you're saving money.

Your electricity bill is made up of three parts: electric generation (SJCE), electric delivery (PG&E), and, for many people, gas (PG&E, and sometimes, a third party provider).  SJCE has no control over electric delivery and gas.

To connect with and support a local Scout unit in their food drive, go to http://svmbc.org/svmbc/activities/scoutingforfood/ for a map of collection neighborhoods and general information or call 408-638-8300.
