Menards First Look! Inside New Menards in Apple Valley

We took a look inside the new Menards for you. The place is HUGE and freshly painted on the inside, and the building sign went up yesterday. They expect to open mid-summer. In the event you do not get to that part of downtown often, the new Menard’s is located just east of the huge fuel tanks on 42 where Hanson Pipe used to be located. Original plans had called for two stories but that was changed by Menard’s last summer. They have a covered Home & Garden area on the east side as well as a large separate lumber yard across the lot in the back. There is also a separate exit on Upper 147th across and just west of Abdallah Candies.

New Yoga & Healing Center to Open in Apple Valley Ribbon Cutting July 17th @ 11 am

We spoke with TANIA STEPHENS (pictured below), local owner of GREEN LOTUS & YOGA CENTER IN APPLE VALLEY. Located just south of Think Bank and on the corner of 160th & Pilot Knob, they are right next to TC Orthodontics and Falkowski Dentistry.  This new locally owned woman business is very holistic in that in addition to the large Yoga Studio, they have five healing rooms. They are also hiring acupuncturists, massage therapists, psychologists, estheticians, energy workers and teachers. They also offer nutrition counseling, infrared sauna, and even life coaches. In addition to those healing services, a Master Reiki healer was just hired. The goal is health, nutrition, great choices and a wide variety of integrative and holistic healing modalities.  While Tania Stephens is the owner of the new Apple Valley location, other locations are owned by others and located in Lakeville (35 & 185th on way to Brackett’s), Annandale, Eden Prairie and Mendota Heights. In addition to their in person classes (that follow COVID guidelines, they also offer online classes as an option.

RIBBON CUTTING INFORMATION This will be the first ribbon cutting since COVID began. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask and be appropriately socially distanced at 6 feet apart. We will do the ceremony outside and then anyone who is comfortable is welcome to take a tour of the space in groups of 3 people at a time. Appetizers will be provided.
