ClearCare
Tip of the Month
Clear Care has been a welcome addition to AHC, however with anything new, comes much learning. Every month we will try to give you tips and reminders of how to best utilize your Clear Care app.

This month's tip is a reminder about Miles Reported. As many of you have noticed, the app allows you to record your mileage at each shift. This section is ONLY for reporting the miles that you drive in YOUR vehicle for or with the client to run errands and appointments. You should reset your trip odometer before you leave with the client and then record only those miles that occurred while the client was with you in your vehicle. These recorded miles will then be charged to the client and reimbursed to you. Do NOT record your personal mileage to or from shifts in Clear Care, as Mychael will calculate those miles for you.

Clocking Out has also been a bit of a struggle for some of you. When you are clocking out using the app, please ensure you continue through all of the screens to the end. It will allow you to make comments during this process, but you do not need to. Go through the screens until you reach the end. Only when you reach the last screen will your clock out time be recorded correctly.

Thanks for your help in making this transition a success!

Thank you for your dedication to Advanced Health Care and to the clients you faithfully serve!
It was a great turnout at the June 26th End of Life Care Team meeting that RN Judy held in our Lakewood classroom. These meetings will happen quarterly (next one to be held October 2019). This gathering is also intended to be a support group for our caregivers, so even if you don't have an interest in "end of life care", please feel free to join. If you have questions or would like to learn more about this special team, please contact Judy directly.
Caregiver Profile:
Ana M.
7 years with AHC

What do you love about being a caregiver?
I have been a CNA for 21 years. I love helping people, especially older people. If I can help them, I will. I like to make them feel like they can still do things for themselves. That makes me feel good.

Any advice you would give to a newer caregiver?
Your clients need you. We help them to live at home. If you only do this job for money, then you should get another job. This job is for people who love their work.

Why have you stayed with Advanced Health Care for 7 years ?
Because I love my clients. Everyone I meet here needs my help and they are so grateful to have me so that's why I still work here. I love my clients!

Thank you for your 7 years
of service, Ana!
We appreciate you.
Congratulations to caregiver Maureen K. and Cassandra P. who are both newly credentialed CNAs !
We are proud of your accomplishment! Enjoy your pay increase and new title!
Congratulations to these 3 AHC Employees who are now
Pierce College RN Graduates!

Ashley C., Alanna H., & Anastasia O. all graduated from Pierce College last month with their RN degrees. We are so proud of them and even more proud that they did it all while working with us and their AHC clients! We look forward to seeing where their careers will take them, but will be sad to see them go. Thank you, ladies, for your compassion, your hard work, and your dedication. We congratulate you and wish you the best!
