SHCC Suspends MORS
Dear Owners, Agents, and Site Staff:

We hope this message finds you and your residents safe and well.

We are writing to inform you that, although HUD recently authorized SHCC to resume MORs, we have decided that, in the best interests of safety for residents, site staff, and SHCC staff, we are temporarily suspending MORs for an indefinite period effective Monday, June 29, 2020.

COVID-19 infection rates in Texas and Arkansas continue to trend upward and until such time that state and local conditions improve, a suspension of MORs is warranted to ensure the safety of all parties.

In the short time SHCC resumed MORs we have been impressed by the commitment and dedication we have heard from most owner/agents in their safety protocols for their site, staff, and residents. Thank you and please continue those efforts as social distancing, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and frequently hand washing, sanitizing and deep cleanings are our only solutions for containing and managing COVID-19 infections.

We will continue to monitor COVID-19 information closely and will keep all parties informed when signs point to the resumption of MORs. In the meantime, please stay safe, and we wish everyone in the federally-assisted housing family good health.

Sincerely,

Michael Cummings, VP
Chris Petty, Director of Compliance
