SILVER LINING
Truth be told, there were great challenges in 2020 on both a global and deeply personal level, but there were also great bolts of silver lining. The tally of the year lands us firmly in the gratitude column. As we plot and plan new projects, we are inspired by the prospects. 2021 is looking good. True to tradition, we made lists of all that we hope to accomplish in this next year as we reflect on the year gone by.
A January Day at State Beach.
As a 'plein air’ painter, Debbie Campbell finds inspiration in NH’s Lake Sunapee region. Water is one of her favorite subjects, from a peaceful mountain lake to the seacoast surf. She feels what makes ‘painting outside’ so exciting is the energy and the press of time to capture the ever-changing light. She prefers to paint only in oil because of the richness of color and the flexibility of this medium. We’re grateful to Debbie for sharing her art and this quotation from John Ruskin. “Nature is Painting for us, Day After Day, Pictures of Infinite Beauty if Only We Have the Eyes to See Them."

THE WEEK THAT WAS...
Three memories forever etched in our minds at the Inauguration of Joseph R. Biden as the 46th President of our country. History was made when Kamala Harris, ‘broke the glass ceiling’ as the first woman to be elected Vice President!
Senator Bernie Sanders, dressed for the weather as only a true Vermonter would... in jacket and mittens…  masked & socially distanced… now appears everywhere as the world’s most famous meme!
Amid all the celebrity participants in the ceremony, it was 22 year old, Amanda Gorman, the youngest Inaugural Poet, who stole the day reciting.
HOPING TO SEE YOU...
Hoping to see you all in the new year, until then please stay safe, stay healthy, stay hopeful… and wear a mask!
