The Mustard Seed and the Yeast
Jesus compared God's kingdom to a mustard seed. Mustard seeds are very tiny. Yet
when planted, a mustard seed can grow into a large, tree-like bush.
Bring your children to Crossroads this Sunday at 10 am for an amazing experience!

Free Entries to US Parks!
As you may already know, I love nature!
Nature is where I see and hear God.
My friend Barb emailed me this great link this morning and wanted me to share it with all of you.
Any child who is 10 years old can get a free park pass for any US Park for a year.
It's called the Annual 4th Grade Pass.
For example, there is no fee to get into Great Falls or Skyline drive for everyone in the car with the 10 year old.

The Conscious Parent
This book helped me see how my parenting skills could be improved by looking deep into my own story and how I was raised. It has allowed me to be able to stop, listen, understand and accept my children and loved ones in a different way, instead of reacting and trying to fix things. Now, I try to see everyone and everything with a different lens, using words of affirmation.

 Walking Water
I saw this great experiment to do with the kids this summer. Such an exciting way to see how colors travel and blend together to create a wonderful palette of bright, unique colors.
This experiment would be a great way to teach the children how God loves every color and sees the beauty in each one of them, just the same way we are seen, loved and embraced by him.

DC VBS 2018
July 30 - August 2, 2018
Please join us in an immersive experience in Washington DC for adults and teens. Help guide a group of DC elementary kids ages Kindergarten through 5th grade for 4 days in a modified version of Crossroads' Vacation Bible School (Bible stories, music, crafts and games).

 Crossover Retreat
August 18-19, 2018
6th Grade Crossover is a weekend retreat for rising 6th graders and their parents. Crossover marks the momentous shift into Middle School and provides a special blessing of presence, acceptance, encouragement, and burgeoning independence. The retreat combines outdoor activities (zip line and low ropes), a family challenge+support course, storytelling, s'mores, and unforgettable moments of connection and communion under the stars.
