PACIFIC HOSTS 5 INTERNS THIS SUMMER
On our staff, we have 10 horticulture graduates and like every year we're hosting interns from colleges across the country. Several of our degreed horticulturists were previous interns including, Corey Petersen and David Grover.
This year we have 5 interns from 5 different schools: Tommy Uckert from  Portland Community College , Emerson Dico-Jekot from  Colorado State University , Andy Dennis from  Shasta College , Jesse Larson from  BYU Idaho , and Ryan Fitzgerald from  Cal Poly San Luis Obispo . They will work in operations as well as in design and estimating. Interns keep us young and motivate us to be innovative. We look forward to their contribution this summer.
Our Trade association hosts  National Collegiate Landscape Competition  every spring where we interview potential interns and graduates. Corey Petersen, Adam Flint, and David Grover attended this year's event at Alamance Community College in North Carolina in March. We also go on campus and several universities throughout the year, presenting to classes and working with professors to assist with industry perspective in their programs.

In our effort to be the most knowledgeable and capable landscape professionals, training our existing staff and recruiting form college programs is an essential part of our ongoing staff development program.
