Genealogy Club has moved to online meetings via Zoom! Join us to learn about internet and archival genealogy and research support. Registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting link.
Our next meeting is Wednesday, February 17, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Expand your genealogy search from home with Ancestry Library, a research tool for genealogy and local history. Through it you can examine census data, the American Genealogical Biographical Index, and more. While typically only for in-library use, this service is available for home use for Bloomingdale Public Library Cardholders through March 31, 2021.

In celebration of Chinese New Year (Feb. 12, 2021), art historian Jeff Mishur discusses the famed terracotta figures discovered in the tomb complex of China’s first emperor.

Hosted by art historian, Jeff Mishur. Mishur is the owner of Art Excursions, a business providing lectures, private guiding, small group tours and travel consulting.

Tuesday, February 23 | All day on YouTube

Learn how to make stylish décor for St. Patrick’s Day! For this craft you will need a small canvas, a vinyl sticker in the shape of a shamrock, colorful acrylic paints, brushes, and either black or white paint to cover your vinyl design, that when peeled off reveals brilliant colors behind a black or white background.

The first 20 people to email Kristina Giovanni at kgiovanni@mybpl.org will receive a bag of supplies to make one craft, available February 23.
Virtual Art Class: Drop Caps
Tuesday, February 23
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Join us on Zoom to learn about the decorative elements of drop caps and design your own with artist Lindsay Budzynski. Supplies needed: paper, pencils/erasers, ruler. Tracing paper, markers, or colored pencils optional. Computer, tablet, or phone is required to attend via Zoom.

Join other parents, high school and middle school students, and professionals to learn about issues facing today’s youth. The Glenbard Parent Series engages top experts, parents and school staff to become proactive and informed in pursuit of the mutual goal to strengthen our communities. Programs are free and open to the public.
