July's Membership Luncheon* will feature Sergeant Fred Radde from the Shakopee Police Department. 

Sergeant Radde, a Shakopee officer for 19 years, will discuss how to prevent, prepare, and respond to acts of violence and emergencies. Sergeant Radde's discussion of this critical topic will give you an understanding of the mindset of a perpetrator, pre-attack indicators, and the importance of pre-planning.

Benedictine Living Community of Shakopee Presentation Event
Pedaling the Past Bike Tour with SCHS

Meet at Lagoon Park in Jordan

Enjoy the summer sun and join the Scott County Historical Society for one or more  of their annual series of history bike tours! Tours are on the second Saturday of the month, in 4 different communities around the county. Each tour focuses on the unique environmental history of a Scott County town! Tours span between 2 and 5 miles and last approximately 2 hours with frequent stops for discussion and to compare the landscape today to photographs from the past. Registration is open now!

Participants must bring their own bikes and all participants MUST wear helmets. This tour is open to participants ages 10 and up; participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour costs $5 for the general public and SCHS members are free.
