As we celebrate African American History Month, Twin Rivers Unified embraces diversity and inclusion year-round and considers its diverse workforce/community vital to the mission of the District. Learning each other’s customs and traditions is a valuable part of the human experience, and we are proud to introduce three individuals with a range of experiences and perspectives who are making a difference every day: Darryl Hawthrone, Principal, Highlands High School; Eugene Bell, Attendance & Behavior Specialist, Foothill High School; and Dr. Kawanaa Carter (COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Del Paso Heights).
The Board of Trustees recognized the hard work and efforts of 20 teachers who participated in the pilot and adoption of high school science materials. We value their dedication to finding high-quality instructional materials for Twin Rivers’ teachers and students.
