Henry Jolson Pathways Program Update
Upskilling Sports Coaches, Netball and Futsal Program for schools
One of the goals of the Henry Jolson Pathways Program is to upskill sport coaches at Jewish schools and Maccabi clubs.
Igor Aleksenitser , Skill Development Coordinator at Maccabi FC Caulfield , conducted a lecture about Soccer fundamentals and training session planning for sport coaches at Bialik College The lecture was very informative and well received by the staff.
This week there was great cooperation between Maccabi Victoria and King David School through the Henry Jolson Pathways Program. Georgia Lehrer started a Netball program for year 7 students. The sessions will continue in Term 3, followed by the Inter-School Netball competition. Martin Jona coached a King David year 12 team in a five a side Soccer tournament at the Knox Regional Football Centre. Martin is also coaching a year 8-9 team in a Futsal league on a weekly basis.
