SCHOOL'S OUT for Summer... Opportunities Abound!
Dear ChURch Family,
With the July 4th weekend behind us, there is the STARK reality that Summer in MN has turned the corner. What's on your Summer-To-Do List that hasn't been done yet? A trip to the Minnesota Zoo? The Landscape Arboretum? An outdoor water park? A North Shore Adventure? How about a service opportunity??!! Hosanna has a few immediate and end-of-summer opportunities to consider as we LIVE and LOVE and SERVE:
- Rangers Supporting Rangers School Supply Program assists families in the district who have a financial need, by providing backpacks and school supplies. Check out their website here if you or someone you know needs help: https://www.rangerssupportingrangersfl.org How can you help? Consider picking up supplies (listed below)- and dropping them off at Hosanna by Sunday August 4- and we will get them into the hands of kids who need them!
- St. Andrew's Family Shelter- August 4-10- find out more and sign up here
- NEW Youth Center- coming to Hosanna!! We need a handful of volunteers to help us paint. Contact Pastor Jen ([email protected]). Tentative painting scheduled for the last week of July into August.
- Ragnar Road- St. Paul to Duluth Running Race August 16-17: Hosanna receives a donation for our service on August 16 - sign up for a volunteer shift by emailing Kelsey at [email protected]
- MN State Fair Coliseum Clean Up August 21 thru September 2. We NEED 10-15 people every night from 9pm-? to pick up trash, sweep the bleachers and outer concourse area. Hosanna receives a generous payment that helps fund our mission to LIVE, LOVE & SERVE- but we cannot do it without YOU! PLUS you get FREE tickets to the Fair when you sign up! Sign up here! Prayer Requests
At Hosanna, a person remains on the prayer chain for two weeks. However, in cases of long-term illness, hospice, or by request, the members of the prayer chain will pray for a person and/or situation in need, as long as requested.
Keep an eye out for our new "Prayer Page" on our website for online prayer requests!

Enrollment for Hosanna's Sunshine Discovery Center
SCHEDULE A TOUR TODAY!
Hosanna's Sunshine Discovery Center is opening Fall of 2019 and will be the second Forest Lake location to partner with Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC). The newly expanded programming will include flexible schedule options for INFANTS starting at 6 weeks and TODDLERS, starting at 16 months old. It will build on the strong, 30+ year history of Sunshine Preschool, by adding extended/wrap-around care, full-time schedule options and accreditation/ quality ratings. Registration for the 2019-2020 school year has begun!

Summer Bible Study on Revelation
Wednesdays starting June 12 at 1:30 PM or 6:30 PM
What does it all mean? Is the end near? Are we doomed? Will I be "left behind"? Is there any hope? Join Pastor Linda for a conversation about this often misunderstood book of the Bible.

VBS Donations

VBS Giving Tags- can't give of your time, support us by providing supplies or donating a gift card to purchase the needed materials during the week!
Sponsor a child ($45)- Every child should have the opportunity to be a part of this faith forming FUN! If you choose to support a child attending VBS, make a donation directly to Hosanna.

In celebration of the sacredness of all creation, we honor the animals that share our lives and touch our hearts. Bring your (well-behaved) pet to receive a blessing during worship.

Mission Jamaica
Interested in meeting and serving our Neighbors in Jamaica?
Get involved with Hosanna coming this Winter, 2020. A Mission Jamaica trip combines a service project, with time for reflection and spiritual rest. It allows a person to experience an international mission field that is close to home, yet far enough away to immerse yourself in another culture for a week. Over 30 years of accompanying our Jamaican neighbors, has led to over 35 Evangelical Lutheran Churches in America congregations and several colleges from Minnesota as well as North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina and Illinois in partnership with St. Andrew's in Mahtomedi, MN to get involved to make a difference for this community.
Come and see...get connected with your global neighbors! Mission Jamaica has provided a way for folk to love and serve our neighbors just as Jesus taught. Jesus said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:30-31
