ï»żStudents to Apply for Scholarships
The application period for 2021-22 College of Science Undergraduate Scholarships is open until February 26, 2021. These awards are open to juniors and seniors with declared majors with the college’s departments. Also available are scholarships awarded by each of the college’s departments, as well as university scholarships. To apply, visit https://usu.awardspring.com
Science Writing Center Offers Assistance
The USU Science Writing Center asks faculty to encourage students to use the center by offering extra credit for visits (requiring first visit and offering extra credit for subsequent visits) and incentivizing visits at each stage of multi-step assignments. For more information, contact the center’s assistant director, Kendall Becker, at kendall.becker@usu.edu.
Undergraduate Research Roundup
The Office of Research has extended the following application and registration deadlines to Monday, February 22. Encourage your students to take advantage of these opportunities.

The virtual Student Research Symposium offers graduate and undergraduate to present their original research on April 14-15 during Research Week.

The Space Dynamics Awards recipients $1,000 to underrepresented students in engineering and computer science.

The Summer 2021 URCO grant awards $1,000 to one student or as group of up to four students for $500 each to run their own research. The grant requires a faculty mentor to fund up to $1,000.

The Peak Summer Research Fellowship allows undergraduates to complete an immersive, 10-week research project with a faculty mentor and receive a $4,000 scholarship.
