What is the Function of the City's Planning Commission?

The Planning Commission is a five- member board comprised of volunteers appointed by the City Council. Its duties and responsibilities include reviewing rezoning requests, special use permit requests and amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and making recommendations to the City Council.

Town Center Update
The construction of the city's Town Center is well underway. However, due to a very rainy spring, the developer has revised its completion date pushing the date back by several months.

The city has revised the grand opening of the Town Center to spring 2019.

In the meantime, keep up with the list of restaurants and retailers that are scheduled to open by visiting the city's website, then click on the link titled "Town Center Update" near the top right side of the page for more details.

A permit from the city is required to remove a tree that is located within the 2,000 foot wide Chattahoochee River corridor buffer.
What is the Chattahoochee River Corridor?

The Chattahoochee River is the largest river in metro Atlanta and one of the region's most valuable resources, serving as the primary source of drinking water for millions of Georgia residents.

The Metropolitan River Protection Act (MRPA) was adopted by the Georgia General Assembly in 1973 to protect this valuable resource and thereby created a 2,000-foot wide buffer along the Chattahoochee River known as the Chattahoochee River Corridor.

Veterans - We Want You

Be on the lookout! In the next several months, the Peachtree Corners Veterans Monument Association (PCVMA) is partnering with video production group  Tytan Creates  to conduct short video interviews of the veterans of Peachtree Corners.

The purpose of the videos will be for each veteran (or family member) to introduce him/herself interactively to visitors to the monument and/or to those visitors who look up a paver. PCVMA will use its veteran and paver contact lists to notify veterans about the program once the program is finalized later this month.

It is not too late to contribute - visit our contribution website.  For more details about the monument and sponsorship opportunities visit our main website or contact Bob Ballagh by email or by phone at 678-618-1722.
