Dear Parishioners and Friends,
This Lenten Season has proven to be a time of true spiritual renewal in Christ and Christian discipleship. A commitment to others through our support of the Ecumenical Food Bank, learning by Zoom with our weekly Sunday School led by Amy Seaman and the worship of Jesus in our Liturgies both live-stream and in-person coupled with committed youth and adults who read and serve at the altar. Our Sunday Eucharists and Special Services are graced with the beauty of music provided by Doug Murdock. Most recently, our parish has been blessed with participation in the Deacon Intern Program.
Bishop Stokes has appointed Jamie Smith, candidate for the diaconate, to participate at our parish in the deacon intern program. I will be serving as supervising clergy and our Warden, Ed Zipf, will be the parish lay representative, all of us are invited to take this time to pray and uplift Jamie as she continues her discernment process.
Jamie will officially join us on Palm Sunday, March 28. Kindly, keep Jamie in your prayers during this time, she provides an introduction to herself for the parish in this newsletter.
United in prayer,
Father Justin

I am a cradle Episcopalian, baptized at Holy Innocents Beach Haven. Raised by my grandparents and aunt, at home and in faith. Moved to Parkertown in elementary school and graduated from Pinelands Regional. Went to college at Atlantic Cape Community College, graduating with degrees in Historical Studies and Teacher Education. Moved on to Graduate from Stockton University, degrees in Political Science and Teacher Education. Since then I have never worked inside a classroom, yet use my education in the fields of Fire, EMS, and working as a direct support for individuals with disabilities.
I have two sons, Nathaniel and Gary. My husband of 21 years passed away 5 1/2 years ago. My youngest son lives with me and my older son has just moved back to NJ from NC. I spent a lot of time outdoors and love spending time with my animals, including 3 cats and 6 chickens. One day I plan to have my own farm and harvest much more of my own food.
Blessings,
Jamie M Smith

Christ is Risen! As we experienced the change, loss, and challenges over the past year the life of the Risen Lord remains manifest in our midst as the things most important in our lives become more clearly understood. Time with family and friends have given way to secondary events. Most important to our Christian Faith the person of Jesus, the worship of him and following his gospel has been renewed in parish life and made known in greater numbers through the technology of the digital age.
While we are limited in our physical gatherings, the love and joy shared through ministries, outreach and liturgy reflects our belief in the love of God through Jesus, which not even a pandemic can take away. The Sunday celebration of the Holy Eucharist is our witness to belief in the Risen Christ and his love for all creation.
Due to COVID restrictions with numbers for in-gatherings Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday will require parishioners to make reservations ahead of time for seating by contacting the parish secretary by phone 609-927-6262 or ccspsecretery@gmail.com .
