Veteran's Day Video Tribute
Veteran's Day was this past Wednesday, November 11, when we honor all military veterans. A special Veteran's Day video tribute was released that day on the city's website, and includes special interviews with several Lakeway WWII veterans sharing their experiences before, during and after that war. It also features an introduction by Major General (R), USAF, Rod Kelly, patriotic music by the Lakeway Sing Along, color guard presentation by the Lakeway and Bee Cave Police Departments, and Pledge of Allegiance by Nancy Forage with the Lohmann's Ford Chapter of the NSDAR. The five military veterans included in the video served in WWII, and some additionally served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Click here to watch the special video presentation.
