2019 SUMMER BASKETBALL SHOOTING CAMP
"THE SHOOTING COACH"
BASKETBALL SHOOTING CAMP

3rd-9th Grade     July 23-27       1:00 - 3:00 p.m.     Dunigan        $100 (YM) / $135 (NM)

Led by 23-year veteran basketball shooting instructor, Coach Troy Sowders and YMCA Basketball Trainer and YMCA Lead Basketball Trainer Coach Derek, this camp will focus on:
  • the foundation of proper shooting
    mechanics,
  • hand/arm positioning,
  • footwork prep/positioning,
  • free throws
  • and overall fundamental shooting development.

Each individual will participate in daily...
  • fundamental shooting skill work,
  • "Shooting Coach" fundamental repetitive form drills,
  • free throws,
  • moving with/without the basketball,
  • and daily shooting drills.  
 
Note:  This is a basketball shooting camp.  There will be no games or contests...only repetitive work on shooting the basketball. 
 
YMCA basketball trainers (Troy's former students/coaching staff) will be involved to ensure progression and development in the art of shooting the basketball through repetition and consistency.  

Camp size is limited to 28 per time slot to ensure shooting reps and focused attention.
