Honey, what's the weather going to be tomorrow?
Have you heard (or said) that nearly every day this month? Normally, the January weather here in Vermont is snow, cold, cold, snow, and so on. Last week, it hit 58 degrees in Burlington. Two days ago, it started snowing. Depending on where you live, you got 1 inch, or 9 inches. On top of that, the skies have constantly been gray. What's the antidote? A trip to the quilt shop! We've got lovely spring fabrics right near the side door, and when you walk in the front door, you're surrounded by juvenile prints, Kona solids, and Grunge. Color, color everywhere!

We didn't get much new fabric in the past two weeks, but there is still plenty going on at the shop, such as...

Harmony, our fabulous new Block of the Month, starts in February. The fabrics for the kits came in last week, and they are stunning! There are just a few spots left, so if you were thinking about joining, now is the time to call or stop in.

Also below is the info on our Spring 2020 class schedule. We've got a few new offerings, and we're bringing back some fundamental favorites. There's something for everyone.

Finally, the Spring 2020 Mystery is starting up soon, and the preliminary details on that are in this week's newsletter. Start thinking about the fabric you want to use!

Block-of-the-Month with Yankee Pride

Our newest BOM, Harmony, from Nancy Rink and Marcus Fabrics, will start in mid-February. Isn't it gorgeous? Harmony will be a 9-month program, with fabric packets to make your blocks every month. There is a $25 registration fee, which also gets you the pattern book. The monthly charge is $27.50. There are only a few spots left, so if you want to make this beautiful quilt, call us at 802/872-9300 or stop in at the shop.

Fall 2019 Mystery Reunion and Spring 2020 Mystery Quilt
It's that time again! You've been working on your Fall 2019 Mystery all through the holidays, and now it's time to show it off. We'll be in the shop classroom on February 1 at 9:30 am for our Show & Tell and photo session. Bring your finished quilt or quilt top so Tony can take pictures to go onto our website's Mystery Gallery.

Judy has just released the details for the Spring 2020 Mystery Quilt. Click here for the fabric description and yardage, and click here to sign up online. It's another quilt with a lot of little pieces, so make sure you have a new needle in your sewing machine, and a fresh blade in your rotary cutter. Please call the shop at 802/872-9300 or stop in with questions.

Spring 2020 Class Schedule

College kids aren't the only ones headed back to school. Yankee Pride has released its Spring 2020 class schedule, and you can sign up now. There are some new classes, and we have some old favorites. We're also offering some new technique classes, for those pesky things that give us headaches because we can never quite get them right. Click here to look on our website and sign up, or click here to print out a hard copy.

Vermont Shop Hop 2020

Passports are in! Stop in and get yours today! Start making plans with your friends, because March will be here before you know it. Help your favorite Vermont quilt shops celebrate 15 years of Shop Hop. We'll have projects, prizes, and more as you travel around the state collecting fabric and patterns to make in the coming year.

Due to its popularity last year, the Shop Hop premium this year is a free half-yard of fabric less than $15 a yard. What could be better? The only stipulation? Fabric must be picked out when you buy your passport. Passports are just $7.

Tonga Batiks

by Timeless Treasures

They may not be fancy, but they're still quite lovely, and very useful! Golds, yellows, and dots bring some life to your batik projects, so you're going to want to add these to your stash. Would the dots (center in photo) make a cool bag? Or would that be too much?

Thank you, as always, for your business, and thank you for being our customer. We love that you still believe in shopping local!
